What are we learning about this week? In this week we are learning about the study of information of human populations, demography. We learned how to find the age percentage of a population. We talked about birth rate, death rate, and population growth rate. Even renewable and nonrenewable. Why are we learning this? We are learning this to know how a country is developed and how its population can determine its rank. (1st world, developed, developing, 3rd world, industrialized) What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most interesting thing I learned or did in class was the formula to get population growth rate. It interests me how birth rate and death rate need to be subtracted. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week was calculating the age percentage of the population. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a quiz on vocabulary words. It was just to practice, it was pretty easy. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? Is there anything else you want to add? If I could pick anything in science to learn more about, it would be to dig in deeper to how the country’s population could affect its economy. I would like to dig into this because it just is stuck in my mind how population can affect something.

What are we learning about this week? We are learning about population, population density, and how the population plato's, rises, and decreases. Why are we learning this? We are learning this because it is important because one day human population would decrease because of a nuclear war or a disease. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The top ten most populated countries in the world, because I never really thought about that and it was fascinating to see how Japan used to be in the top ten, but now mexico to its place What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The difference between population and population density. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We did not have any test or quizzes. What are we learning about this week? We are learning about biomes and the animals, plants, and abiotic features in them. Why are we learning this? We are learning this so if we ever go into these biomes we’ll know what’s in it and what the weather's like. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The task flashcards were kind of interesting What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The stations lab was a little hard at first. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a biomes quiz on Wednesday and a we will have the Unit 3 test on Friday. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would want to learn about other planets and if another planet could have ever had life. Is there anything else you want to add? Nothing. This week's blogger: G.H.
What are we learning about this week? We are learning about the biomes and we are working on TenMarks and trying to help work on the skills that we were doing very well on. Why are we learning this? We are learning this because this will help us, not only in future science work, but in math as well. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most interesting thing I learned about were the biomes. I had a lot of fun looking up research and learning about them. I would really like to learn as much as i can about the different biomes. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The hardest thing we learned this week was the TenMarks because it had to do with things that we struggled on previously. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? No If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? If I could pick one thing to learn more about it would be astronomy. I really like stars and the constellations. All of the universe really fascinates me and I am really interested in it. I’m not sure if we are going to get to this stuff this year, but I hope me do sometime in the future. Is there anything else you want to add? No This week's blogger: E.G.
What are we learning about this week? We were learning about how plants and animals live on the Seychelles island. Then we also made our own organism. Why are we learning this? We are learning about this to know how animals adapt to different nature. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most interesting thing I learned was that a plant can kill a fly. This is interesting because the plant drowns a fly with a substance. Then when the fly dies these small organisms start eating it. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? I think the trickiest thing we did was trying to create a animal or plant that had a chance to survive. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? No If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? The galaxy because it is interesting because no one can see what happens in there. Is there anything else you want to add? No This week's blogger: K.S.
What are we learning about this week? We are learning about the water cycle, carbon cycle, nitrogen cycle, phosphorus. Why are we learning this? We are learning this because we need to know how each cycle is made and the difference between each one. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? I learned what the phosphorus cycle was. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The trickiest thing we learned this week is where to place each cycle on the right place. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? No, we haven’t but there is going to be one on Friday about the water cycle. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would like to learn about animals systems. I want to learn this because I love animals and I want to know more. Is there anything else you want to add? No I don’t got nothing else to add. This week's blogger: S.E.
What are we learning about this week? We learned about independent and dependent variables. We also started on what would happen if there was too much of a species. what would happen to an ecosystem if a species population increases by a lot, moved, or becomes extinct. We also started learning about food chains and food webs. Why are we learning this? We are learning this because we need to know the effects in our ecosystem if an animal, leaves, is overpopulated, or becomes extinct. We are also learning about food webs and food chains. About which animals each which and why they’re only 3 or 4 animals per food chain. We are learning about food webs and about what happens if one animals becomes extinct. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most interesting thing I learned was that if one animal becomes extinct or if humans build a building in an ecosystem it ruins the ecosystem and every animal in the area becomes extinct or leaves the area. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The trickiest things we learned this week was independent and dependent variables. It was difficult because I really didn’t get it at first. It took me awhile to get used to, but the Edpuzzle really helped me understand it better. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a mini quiz this week it was about the types consumers. The producers, consumers, secondary consumers, and 3rd consumers. It was a good quiz it seemed easy. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would want to learn about if there are humans or other species on different planets and if so how do they live. I’d also want to know why there isn’t any water on other planets and if there is life how do they survive. Is there anything else you want to add? I’d like to continue this lesson a little bit more to see why the animals live in the ecosystems they do. This week's blogger: A.S.
What are we learning about this week? We are learning about an important aspect of biology, the math! We are calculating proportions, percentages, averages, and creating bar graphs to represent our data. Why are we learning this? Representing our data is a helps us better understand our work. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The lab where we used a two finger beak and taking one toothpick at a time. It was definitely fun to see how many toothpicks we grabbed! What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? One item I struggle with is proportions. People explained it to me, but it never made sense. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? All we had this week was a lab to calculate our toothpick data. Yet, I still struggle with proportions till this day. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why?For some strange reason, I’d really enjoy learning about human body’s. I actually am more attached health because it teaches me about diseases, healthy habits, and hygiene. Is there anything else you want to add? Nope, that’s all I had to say. This week's blogger: L.D.
What are we learning about this week? We learned about the ecosystem and what makes an ecosystem. Why are we learning this? So we can learn more about the habitats of nonliving and living creatures and how they interact in a community or habitat. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? We learned about the difference between nonliving and living and learned about the meaning of words starting with bio. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The difference between nonliving and living cells. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a mini quiz on photosynthesis. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? More about non living cells. Is there anything else you want to add? |
