What are we learning about this week?
This week we learned about the conservations of energy. We also learned how to calculate work, distance, and force. Why are we learning this? To understand how energy is transformed to one object to another. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? For me it would be learning how to calculate work, force, and distance because I love math so putting math and science together is fun and easy to me. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? Completing the comic stripe for the INB. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a quiz on work formulas, it easy because it was simply algebra. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would want to do more punnett squares because I really enjoyed them last year, and i really like learning about genetics. Is there anything else you want to add? No

I’m in charge of the blog post this week!
Directions: Fill out the questions below with your best answer. Weeks run from Friday to Thursday, so make sure not to forget what happened on Friday last week! Forgot what we did in class? Check out the class webpage ( boguslawscience.weebly.com ) to remind yourself! When you have finished, submit this to Google Classroom. Mrs. Boguslaw will post it for you after you submit it. Each time you complete your assigned weekly blog post, it will be a 20 point score in PowerSchool. It is a great (and easy) way to boost your grade! ***USE COMPLETE SENTENCES!*** What are we learning about this week? We are learning about conservation of energy, how objects and things conserve and change energy. Why are we learning this? To see how our world works, why we can do the things we do on a daily basis, like how we are able to turn on the lights and know why there’s always a useless buzzing sound while we do things. What are we learning about this week?
On friday we learned about light and colors. On monday we learned about an introduction to energy and the types of energy. On Tuesday we learned about what each type of energy means by doing notes page and a foldable. On wednesday we took notes on all the different types of energy. We also played a game. On Thursday we finished our notes and then we did a calculation worksheet. Why are we learning this? We are learning this because we use energy in our everyday lives. Energy is in everything. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most interesting thing we did was we played a game about energy. Playing games helps me understand things more. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? All the different types of energy. I still don’t understand them. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We did not have any quizzes or test this week. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would learn more about the light and the colors we learn more about on Friday. Is there anything else you want to add? no This week's blogger: C.S.
What are we learning about this week? About the PARCC test. Why are we learning this? So we are comfortable with the test when we take is. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? All the math I didn’t understand because I find it horrifying that that’s expected for me to know but I don’t truly know it. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The math Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? no If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? How to deal with certain diseases because that could be helpful for our future potentially. Is there anything else you want to add? I really dislike PARCC. This week's blogger: M.C.
What are we learning about this week? This Week we learned about the Parcc test and how to format the problems and answers. We also took an introduction to energy on the Friday before break. Why are we learning this? We are learning this because when the parcc test comes we will not be allowed to ask any questions and we need to be prepared. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? I learned how to make a graph on the test and how to take notes and use the tools on this technological test. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The hardest thing we did was for me actually understanding them when you were explaining the questions and answers Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? No, We did not have any tests this week. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? If there was anything we could learn about more it’s this because the tests are very important and I feel like we should focus on them more in the future. Is there anything else you want to add? Make fun of Tristan more, that’s pretty much it. This week's blogger: C.T.

What are we learning about this week? This week we learned more about friction. We did a project with playdough to try to make a tire that reduces the amount of water between the road and the tire. Why are we learning this? I think we are learning this to learn how to work together to make a working project. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? I learned that playdough is actually a very close comparison to a tire. I thought this was interesting because you can use everyday items to conduct a science experiment. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? I think the hardest thing we learned was how to make a working tire. It is hard for everyone to agree on the same thing. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? No tests or quizes this week If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would choose to learn more about rocks and minerals. I don’t know why but they seem very interesting to me and they are cool to learn about. Is there anything else you want to add? This week's blogger: J.V.
What are we learning about this week? We are learning about the laws of Gravity made by Newton and we are trying to get to know and experiment the formulas to find acceleration, velocity, time, distance, ect. Why are we learning this? To know about the world around us, to know why things happen, like how an apple fall from the tree, or how we are able to stand on a giant ball called Earth. Also knowing about this can help in careers in engineering or such jobs that requires science. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The labs we started on thursday, I liked it the most because we actually had the chance to experiment what we had learned throughout the week. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? I think the hardest part would be memorizing the formulas to calculate everything, since you can switch it around, and all the formulas aren’t the same, some you just multiply, and some you have to just divide, and some you have to do multiply thing to get to your answer. It can get confusing sometimes. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? No, no tests or quizzes If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would want to learn more about the mysteries of the world, that most people don’t even know about, like black holes. I think it would be interesting. Is there anything else you want to add? No thank you. |
