What are we learning about this week?
This week we are learning about acceleration. Why are we learning this? We are learning about acceleration because we can learn how to calculate it using the different skills we learned when we learned about time, distance, and speed. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most important thing we learned this week was how to properly calculate acceleration because without knowing how to calculate it, we would not be able to continue our lesson on this topic. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The hardest thing we learned to do this week to me was calculating acceleration because there were so many different steps and variables. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We have a test on Friday (or Monday) about what we learned on acceleration. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? If I could learn more about anything in science, I would want to learn more about genetics and how heterochromia happens. Is there anything else you want to add? There is nothing else I can think of to add to this blog post.

What are we learning about this week? We just finished the first unit about graphing, the scientific method, and conversions. Why are we learning this? To know how to compare certain things to one another, to solve our questions, to help us measure things. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The lab that we did that made the liquids change color. I thought it was really interesting how they changed different colors from one another even though they started off all looking relatively the same. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? I think it was the control and constant of labs. I can never quite understand that. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a test today on the entire unit and everything we've been learning(graphing, scientific method, conversions). I think I did pretty decent on it and it really wasn't that hard, especially if you studied even for a little bit. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? Mental problems and issues (depression, eating disorders, anxiety, etc) I think it's really interesting although we've had assemblies on it I just think that people could be a lot more educated, including myself. Is there anything else you want to add? I really don't want this to come off rude or anything but I just want to say that if something asks a “dumb” question or something like that it's not always because they aren't paying attention, but because they genuinely don't understand it. I completely get that some of the time it is just people not paying attention. But somethings just don't click with people and they need a little more explanation. Also for people not paying attention. I honestly believe that's it bound to happen sometimes, you're the last class of the day so it's not always the easiest to be at full attention. We’re all human beings and it's just a little difficult to always be at 110% Thank you very much and have a good day/afternoon. This week's blogger: I.A.
What are we learning about this week? This week we were learning about different types of graphs, independent and dependant variables, and conversions in measurement. Why are we learning this? We are learning this to help us in the future with projects, whether it be for school, work, or homes. Also conversions of measurements will help with the same, for the future. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? One of the most interesting things we did in class this week was a packet with stations. Some of the stations were creation, observation, and investigations, and they all are with different experiments and such which I find super fun. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? The hardest thing was in the interactive notebook, we got a lot of tables and we had to do graphs based on them. It wasn’t hard, but it just had to be accurate which was a little tricky. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? Yes, we had two mini quizzes One was on density and measurement and the other was on graphs and differentiating the different types. They both were really easy and not difficult at all, as long as you study. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would want to learn more about the anatomy of the body and the different organs throughout your body. I find that topic something really interesting to learn about. Is there anything else you want to add? No, there is nothing else I would like to add. This week's blogger: T.Z.
What are we learning about this week? Currently, we are learning about many basics for taking science this year and the many years ahead of us. We learned about the scientific method to help us gather evidence and make conclusive experiments. We are also learning about the metric system and other units of measurement, which is more of a recap, because they are typically used in science classes. Why are we learning this? It refreshes our minds and sets us up better to do these things in high school. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? I thought making the rainbow flip book was interesting. It’s like making a bunch of colorful flashcards. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? I think memorizing the steps in order for the scientific method was pretty tough, maybe that’s just a personal thing(I have a horrible memory). Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We had a quiz on the scientific method and we are having a test on units of measurement and finding the volume, mass, and density of things. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I think biology would be something interesting to learn about, the human body is fascinating. Is there anything else you want to add? Nope. This week's blogger: J.A.
What are we learning about this week? We are learning about Solar Eclipses Why are we learning this? We are learning this, so we can understand how they work, how they can affect us, and how they occur. What was the most interesting thing you learned or did in class this week? Why? The most interesting thing that I have learned, is how it can affect your eyes. I think that this is the most interesting because before I learned this, I didn’t know why you couldn’t look at the solar eclipse. What was the hardest/trickiest thing we learned about or did this week? I think that the trickiest thing was understanding the different between a partial and total solar eclipse. Did we have any quizzes or tests this week? If we did, which was it, and what was it on? How was it? We did not have any tests/quizzes this week. If you could pick anything in science to learn more about, what would it be and why? I would pick to learn more about total solar eclipses because I find it interesting. Is there anything else you want to add? No thank you.. |
